Well we've done just about all we are going to do for the moment - at least in terms of traveling the Country. We didn't make it to all 50 States, nor even all of the contiguous 48 States, but we did visit 40 of them (riding in 35) and made some wonderful memories and amazing new friends on the way.

It has been a journey of discovery in every sense of the word. I discovered that I can safely ride a horse after all, and I can write about the experience too! More importantly both Anita and I discovered a depth of relationship with our horses that we never dreamt of before and that is an experience we shall always cherish.

We also found out just how strong we are together as a team - it hasn't all been fun, there has been many a tough time encountered when we weren't sure we were going to make it - but make it we did! Perhaps the biggest discovery however has been our love of America and in particular Virginia - so much so that we have decided to have a go at creating a new life for ourselves in the land of the "horse lover".

One day I am sure someone will write a book about our "year in (and out of) the saddle" and I hope one day that someone will be me!
